I am a freelance violist and photographer based between London and Cape Town. My life as a musician has taken me to concert halls and venues across the globe, performing with renowned orchestras and ensembles. It was this frequent travel, paired with an innately observant nature, that first led me to pick up a camera — photographing the places I passed through slowly grew into something deeper: a genuine, abiding love for the craft.
That same curiosity now shapes my photographic work, which moves between travel, still life, nature and portraiture. I'm drawn to the small, overlooked moments — a shadow, a gesture, a passing detail easily missed. Time seems to elongate when I have a camera in hand, and the way it demands an interrogation of one's surroundings encourages a life of greater intention and focus.
Photography, ultimately, deepens my engagement with the present moment. In this sense, my practice remains in continual evolution, mirroring the broader shifts we experience as individuals within an increasingly complex and fast-moving world.
